If you're like me, you always have some music playing in the background while surfing the net. Right now, I'm playing one of my favorite songs of 2008, "Watermelon Sundae" by Dom Kennedy.
Not only do I listen to Britney Spears, but I went to the concert and it was awesome. Now I know you guys are going to judge but her Circus album is multi-platinum and has some #1 hits on it.
I always have the tribe called quest in rotation. The boys have some classic beats that you can just chill too, dance too, work hard to or think about hard! Big recommendation for those that don't know.
Now I have that last Arctic Monkeys record on. Great band, I'm looking forward to some new material though. This was one of my favorites of 2007, "Favourite Worst Nightmare".
The thing about this group that I can't get over is the fact that they picked up their instruments for the first time not even 10 years ago. Amazing (if its true).
10 years seems to me like a long time to learn how to do anything. If you haven't achieved something in 10 years you should probably try something else.
Musicians of their caliber don't get that good that fast. And they started when they were 15-16...its not easy to master an instrument that late in life. I don't know, its impressive to me. Definitely check for them if you listen to rock music.

Chester French- The Jimmy Choo's
(I love this song...sounds like some '09 Beach Boys or something)

Thank you for posting these songs. I am really not familiar with them but will definitely check them out.

That's the whole point: each one, teach one.
I'm just putting the songs I'm listening to, do the same as me...

Please don't post Britney Spears references on this website. Thank you.

A Tribe Called Quest are my Beatles. Best to ever do it and as influential as any group ever.
Couldn't agree more, simeon.
Prophet
What are their best songs? Probably going to download that best of CD they have.
CRodgers
That's your best bet. On their Anthology (their best of CD) I defy you to find a bad song.
My personal favorite tracks are "Check The Rhime", "Bonita Applebum", "Electric Relaxation", "Can I Kick It?", "Scenario"....man, I can go on forever.

Now I'm stuck on this new Cool Kids mixtape "Gone Fishing". The very last song "Knocked Down" is incredible.
The whole tape is a legal/free download that you can get from their blog:
