Week 10 - Amazing, Confusing for NFL Fantasy Players

Week 10 in NFL will certainly be among the best weeks this season. Expectations for the football fans were met and some surprises were made along the way. For the fantasy player, things can't get more interesting than what they saw on the field this weekend until Monday night.

Colts - Pats Match up

I can't say that it's one of the best games in their rivalry, but its fun to see the leader of the pack putting in numbers. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady showed that they are truly the best QBs any team could wish for today. Although Manning came out strong in the end with 4TDs, Brady's performance is still very impressive. Aside from the QBs, Moss and Wayne have been impressive and tried to put on numbers to push their team forward.

In the end, fantasy players who are heavily invested in both teams win. After seeing how good they really are, you end up wondering why they are so good while other poor teams are THAT bad knowing there's a salary cap and other limitations.

Miami at Tampa Bay

If you've heavily invested in RB from relatively unknown players, there is a big chance that you have Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in your list. These two were very impressive this weekend because of their 205-yd performance (combined). Unfortunately, Brown went down with ankle problems. But that only leads to another scenario: Williams will likely have more touches in the next few games.

Tampa Bay on the other hand, is still trying to get things going with their QB Josh Freeman. It's still an impressive output but Miami still won that game (25-23) which is still a bummer for the team. But just like the Colts and Pats game, everyone wins in this very interesting game.

Dallas at Green Bay

This one is set to be a classic but not as much as New England and Indianapolis did. While the Cols and Pats were tearing the defense like a piece of wet paper, it was the defense that worked for Cowboys and Packers that - or was it lack of performance? Romo didn't get enough yards (less than 100 after three quarters) and Miles only had 20 yards. The numbers are horrible but the winning team also failed to fare well for fantasy players. The game is not exactly a snooze fest but it's pretty disappointing especially for Dallas-heavy roster.

Maurice Jones Drew

There are times that you have to sacrifice your stats and popularity to fantasy players just to win the game. Case in point: Maurice Jones Drew. Seeing him stop at one yard so that their team will get the needed extra time to prevent the Jets from winning is a smart technique and it worked. This is a bit unfortunate for fantasy players because he could have added 1 more TD in his stats.

But fantasy players have to live up with the fact that winning the game is everything. It's not a good sight for fantasy players but winning should be everything.
