A Look at NASCAR’s Top Three Drivers

NASCAR is getting really interesting this year as players get more competitive in each race. Millions of fans around the country watch every curve as drivers try to outwit each other to become one of the best in the league. Of course, the results can be a little bit disappointing for some to the point that several can get very competitive and become “unfriendly” off-track.

But even with all the talk about other drivers in the race, none of them could gather as much attention as Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. These three drivers have their respective fan base that each is willing to argue for hours just to prove their driver’s supremacy.

A fantasy player on the other hand, should not just base their driver selection on who they like the most. Facts should be considered first before any decision is made in order to increase the chances of winning.

Currently on his 11th season in Sprint Cup, he has posted significant winnings in the past. His experience with other races outside NASCAR is well noted as it provides the needed experience to win. Although NASCAR will never consider the numbers outside its races, Tony Stewart definitely has the numbers that will allow him to win.

The bad news on the other hand is the zero Daytona 500 wins. While he has been part of the top ten results for more than 200 times, no Daytona 500 trophy can push him back in the rankings of NASCAR. But his experience alone can push him on top in the actual race.

Jimmie Johnson

Jimmie is not as experienced compared to Stewart since he’s only in his eighth season in Sprint but his numbers can easily compete. He has already won the Daytona 500 once and has won 43 times in other races. The winnings can provide significant boost to Johnson as NASCAR will give him high rankings which will help him grab a better position for better results.

Some who do not like to support Jimmie often says that his success is because of his excellent crew. But you have to admit that it’s still Jimmie who gets behind the wheel and get things done in the race track.

Jeff Gordon is undoubtedly a favorite of many NASCAR followers. He has been part of NASCAR for many years that he has already cemented his future as a hall of famer. He has also the most number of winnings among active drivers (82) and has won the Daytona 500 thrice. He also has one of the most wins in history (sixth) and he can easily climb up to better ranking if he stays in the race after 17 years.

The winning way of Jeff Gordon is far from over but his competitiveness is not at par as the current drivers. But it’s still a safe bet if you stick to Jeff Gordon in your selection.

These three players will surely have significant results in the upcoming races. Be sure to monitor their numbers in order to have the right selection for better results.
