The Playoffs is Coming – Are you Ready?

The NBA regular season is ending with a big bang from its best teams. King James and his Cavaliers have just clinched the top record in the East and they still have one more game at home to deal with. Based on the latest interviews, King James might not be playing anymore so that he can rest (together with starters) and be very, very healthy when the playoffs start.

Lebron James Leading the NBA

But the fact that most of them are healthy (Wallace is still a problem) is not the real reason why you should consider the starters in your roster. By clinching the top position, they will enjoy home court advantage for the rest of the playoffs. They are in a very favorable position wherein the starters will really stack up in their numbers.

Meanwhile the other side of the coin is already set for playoffs. Before that, I have to say I feel bad for the Suns. After a good run in the final games of the regular season, their numbers as a team are just not enough. The Big (talker) Shaq and small Nash are not enough to power the team into the playoffs.

As expected, the Lakers are back on the top spot. With Andrew Bynum back on the roster, the team is more powerful than ever. If your fantasy team has even one of the three great Lakers today (Gasol, Bynum, Bryant), your team is set for greatness this playoffs.

The odds are favoring King James and the powerful Lakers will be clashing in the finals. Along the way, they will be stacking numbers contributing to your fantasy stats that will surely crush any opponent.

But wait. There’s more…

The Big Three of the Celtics will not go down without a fight. Even though they are just in second place in the east, they are still a formidable squad to deal with. Come playoffs time, the experienced and very remarkable players of the league will be healthy. But their supporting cast is not that attractive for now. Your fantasy league could be lacking in numbers if you stick to the Green Men. But still, Celtics is still Celtics.

If you’re looking for a dark horse, you’ll never go wrong with Heat. While it’s true that the team is being carried only by Dwayne Wade, the rest of the crew is starting to show more character and powerful support. Shawn Marion, Udonis Haslem and Michael Beasly are good choices for support roster.

I don’t know if you can call Denver Nuggets as the dark horse considering they are in the 2nd place, but the presence of Lakers has practically overshadowed everyone. With 10 games behind to the conference leader, they might be able to pull it off. But the rough ride will always be in the West except for the Lakers.

The playoffs are coming. Review your roster and drop those players who are about to go home and watch the games on the televisions. If you can’t get the players on teams with odds, the dark horse is also a good option.
